Carlton “Bud” Riley Rambo, 78, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He was born October 25, 1945, in Zanesville to the late Carlton A. and Eloise Drake Rambo. He was a 1963 graduate of Zanesville High School. Bud worked at Longaberger for 13 years, where he was an outstanding carpenter, especially doing custom projects for Tami Longaberger. He also was a chief mechanic for White Chevrolet and Dutro Ford. He was very meticulous and mastered every challenge he accepted. He also enjoyed anything with a motor, especially fast cars and motorcycles and an avid deer hunter. He was a member of the Faith Christian Center and loved spending time there.
Surviving is his wife, Candice Gill Rambo, who he married April 15, 1967; a son Michael (Mary) Rambo; grandson Justus Michael Rambo; two sisters: Linda (Rusty) Gill and Pat (Pastor Chuck) Gamble; sister-in-law Debbie (Mike) Wisecarver; special nephew Eric Gill; bonus son Shane Boykin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Barbara (Larry) Nolan.
Calling hours will be from 11AM to 1PM Monday, April 15, 2024, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. The funeral will begin at 1PM with Pastors Chuck and Pat Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in Dresden Cemetery.
