Shirley Hiles Obituary

Shirley Ann Hiles, 74, of Zanesville formerly of Crooksville passed away at her residence surrounded by her family on Friday February 23, 2024.

Shirley was born in Zanesville on January 17, 1950, to the late Herbert and Mary Williams Holmes. She was a dedicated employee for many years at Designer Accents formerly McCoy Pottery in Roseville.  Shirley enjoyed playing Yahtzee, spending time with her grandchildren, and cheering on the Crooksville Ceramics football team and marching band.

She is survived by a son Herschel Hiles Jr.; a daughter Marcie Hiles; two brothers: Herbert “Steve” Holmes and Clyde Holmes; three sisters: Cathy Willison, Wilma (Troy) Hiles, and Sandy (Jim Hardy) Parker; a grandson Blade Hiles; and two great grandchildren: Anthony Hiles and Savannah Thorn.

In addition to her parents, she will be reunited in Heaven by her husband Herschel Hiles Sr. who passed away on June 15, 2008; a daughter Amy Hiles; and a grandson Jody Hiles.

Private graveside services will be held at Community Garden Cemetery in New Lexington.
