ZANESVILLE

Shirley Jean West, 88, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, at her residence. She was born August 15, 1935, in Michigan to the late Everett and Sara Echelberry. She was a 1953 graduate of Zanesville High School. Shirley loved collecting teddy bears, especially Steiff bears. She was a great cook and enjoyed catering golf outings for her husband. Shirley was a very talented painter.

Shirley is survived by her twin sons: Keith West and Kevin (Carla) West.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Mont West, who she was married to for 65 years; granddaughter Sara C. West; and grandson Seth West.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Victims of Crime, In memory of Sara C. West, PO Box 369, Powell, OH 43065.

Calling hours will be held 11AM to 1PM Monday, March 4, 2024, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will follow at 1PM in the Snouffer Chapel. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
