William E. "Bill" Farmer Tuesday, January 15, 1929 - Monday, March 13, 2017

ROSEVILLE William “Bill” Farmer, 88 passed away on Monday March 13, 2017 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born in Philo on January 15, 1929 to the late Fred and Lois Edna Turvey Farmer. Bill was a former Police officer for the Village of Roseville and worked at Timken Roller Bearing. He proudly served our Country by serving in the United States Army during the Korean War and received three Purple Hearts. He enjoyed playing Euchre and going to the Golden Corral and Rooster’s. He is survived by many wonderful friends, neighbors, caregivers, nieces, nephews, special nurse his niece Teisha Cramer, and his furry friend Mitzie. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Smith Farmer whom he married on December 21, 1951 and she passed away on November 8, 2013., his two brothers Cliff Farmer and John Farmer, five sisters: Lillian, Darlene, Julia, Tibby, and Eleanor. Bill was the last family member of his generation. Calling hours will be held 1-3 pm on Thursday , March 16, 2017 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will follow at 3pm in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Linda Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park with full military honors by VFW Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29. Jim and I worked with Bill for many years at Integrity Supply.  He was always a great guy and wonderful friend.  Lost touch over the years, but have many fond memories of him.  Prayers for your loss.
